RegMed Forum 2017: Advanced Disease Models - From 3D Cell Culture and 3D Bioprinting towards Multi-Organ Chips

In regenerative medicine, the efficient development of new therapy options, such as cell therapies, requires suitable in-vitro disease model systems beyond the current standard. Innovative 3D cell culture approaches, 3D bioprinting and organ-on-a-chip model systems have all seen tremendous progress over the last decade. Now, even multi-organ-on-a-chip models are within reach. All these systems are reproducing in-vivo conditions for the research of human health and disease in unprecedented ways.

The Berlin-Brandenburg Center for Regenerative Therapies (BCRT) and Berlin Partner organize the RegMed Forum 2017 on 6 December at Auditorium Friedrichstraße - Quartier 110 in Berlin. This year, the international conference will focus on how the combination of technology and disease modelling can achieve physiologically relevant results and, ultimately, clinical impact.

Together, stakeholders from industry and academia will explore the following topics:

  • 3D cell culture
  • 3D bioprinting
  • organ and human-on-a-chip models
